ASIMOB is the winner of the first edition of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards 2021! This means the direct nomination of ASIMOB to the regional final of Startup World Cup & Summit, provision of office space in Prague during that event, and technical and media support. Second and third places go to OTIV and BIA POWER respectively. OTIV and BIA POWER will be rewarded with two tickets for the Startup World Cup & Summit, provision of office spaces in Prague during that event, and technical and media support as well.

- First prize: ASIMOB – With Artificial Intelligence and IoT, ASIMOB helps to keep roads in safe conditions, both for human drivers and future AVs.
- Second prize: OTIV – Teaching railway vehicles in complex environments to drive autonomously.
- Third prize: BIA Power Inc. – We optimize and simplify electric vehicle charging for the cheapest and greenest charge, smoothest loads, and lowest battery degradation.
Out of the 25 startups, ten finalists made it to the first edition of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards. Citizens’ votes decided five of the finalists, and the other 5 were selected by local juries from each Innovation Hub of EIT Urban Mobility.
Additionally to the pitch winners, EIT Urban Mobility offered five Investment Readiness Programme packages to ASIMOB, OTIV, BIA POWER, GORDIAN, and PEREGRINE.

The EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards has been the silver lining to batch 2 of the EIT Urban Mobility Business Creation Accelerator Programme, running from 1 January to 30 June 2021. Within these six months, 25 startups have been enrolled in the acceleration activities run by our partners in our five Innovation Hubs (Prague, Helmond, Barcelona, Munich, and Copenhagen).
During the event, the 25 startups and our partners had a booth to showcase their products. All of them had visibility during the final event of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards 2021 hosted by the Streavent platform and conducted by the EIT Urban Mobility‘s Digital Communications Manager, Jezabel Martinez-Fabregas and Karolína Krámková, project leader from PowerHUB.
